MBD Tool Box licensing for Matlab code gen

I have matlab 2020b without a maintenance license from Matlab, so I cannot install the MBDTool box via the addon manager in Matlab.

I have to manually add the toolbox. I have the Toolbox installed. However, I have failed to properly configure Matlab with the NXP MDBTool box licenses.

I get this error with attempt to autocode as follows:

License Error: -1, Model-Based Design Toolbox License Missing, please go to The Model-Based Design Development Toolbox Web Site to get a free license or request a demo. Provide the following HostID: 6607636e Component:NXP MBD Toolbox | Category:Block error

I need direction on where to place this file or how to load the license.dat file into Matlab so that it will recognize the toolbox

Hello,

After you have generated the license file and downloaded it on your computer, you must save inside the toolbox's folder, in a dedicated folder called "lic". Please check the attached image.

I have a question: if I only use the free MATLAB license and download the NXP Model-Based Design (MBD) Toolbox and support package, can I simulate Simulink models, and genarate code in MATLAB using MBD?
