Hello,

I've checked the images you have attached and it seems that you correctly configured the PTB26 to be an output pin.

The problem that you encounter is that the logic level of the PTB26 remains low after the application is flashed to the board. Am I right?

Just to better understand the problem, can you give me the exact model of the development board you are using? What version of S32K3 did you install? What MATLAB version are you using?

Best regards,

Hello Sir,

I am trying to build a simple model for the S32K344 and configure it using the S32 Configuration Tool. However, it is not working as expected, and I feel I may be missing some steps.

I have already checked the forums and the videos available on the NXP website, but I still have not been able to resolve the issue.

I have attached some screenshots of my work for your review.

I kindly request your guidance on the correct procedure or any documentation that I can follow. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Thanks for your response.

Please find the required details below:

MATLAB Version: R2022a

Development Board: S32K344-172

S32K3 Package Version: 1.6

In the meantime, we also tested using PTA27, but observed the same behavior. This makes us suspect that there might be a missing link between the DIO configuration and the Pin configuration. We kindly request guidance on the correct procedure to ensure that no configuration steps are missed.

Regarding the point I mentioned earlier: when I said it is working with "embedded code," I meant that we tested the same logic using Embedded C code through the S32DS platform, and in that case the pin behaves exactly as expected. The issue only appears when using the MATLAB/Simulink-generated code.

Hello,

There is one thing I missed yesterday to check. Apart from the pins and DIO component, you also need to configure the Port component to use the specified pin. Since you are using a older version of the toolbox, the port pin is not automatically updated based on the Pins configuration (and that is why it works in S32DS).

To sum up:

1. Open the configuration project and navigate to the Port component.

2. In the Dio Port container, add a new Port Pin with the MSCR of the pin you want (in this case, for PTB28, MSCR is 60).

Let me know if this solves your problem.

Best regards,

Hello,

We just released a new version for the S32K3 toolbox (1.8.0). If you want to upgrade to the latest version, please go to the Addons Manager in MATLAB and search for NXP_Support_Package_S32K3. After the support package is installed, you can run the GettingStarted.mlx script that is going to guide you to install the latest version.

Best regards,
