Hi!

The LPC1769 is a 120 MHz version of the LPC1768. It has the same pinout and is documented using the same datasheet. Newer LPC176x LPCXpresso boards are being made with the LPC1769. You can use the same example projects just by changing the chip in LPCXpresso from LPC1768 to LPC1769. To do this, control-click on the part number (should say LPC1768) on the lower-right corner of the LPCXpresso window.

Wow, could be the reason why my distributor isn't able to deliver LPCXpresso1768 boards: it's the wrong number :)

Looking at the SysTick and some of the LED examples for 1768, it looks like the code is controlling user LED's 2-5. My 1769 board has only 2 LEDs - one on the Link side (LED 1) and one on the Target side (LED 2).

SO, when I run these projects they do not appear to do anything (though I think they are running). My LED 1 on the Link side lights up when I plug in to USB. Led 2 on the Target appears to light up when there is activity - for example when I am debugging a program.

So, am I supposed to be wiring up my own LED's to test these projects?

The supplied examples for the LPCXpresso board poke the correct GPIO bit to flash the LED on the LPCXpresso board.

From your description, it sounds like you are looking at the examples for Code Red's RDB1768 development board, rather than the examples for the LPCXpresso board?

You might find the following FAQ of use in explaining the supplied examples(though it does need tweaking to bring it up to date for LPCXpresso 4).

My nanoblink was written for LPCxpresso board with LPC1769.
