Is 40ns long enough?

In the user manual under the counter section for the timers it says the frequency needs to be at least half of the PCLK (to satisfy Nyquist). It also says the period cannot be shorter than 1/(2*PCLK) but I think that is a typo, It should be no shorter than 2/PCLK right? Is this true for just random pulses using the input capture part as well?

Any help would be great, Thanks.
