Content originally posted in LPCWare by micrio on Sun Feb 12 18:44:49 MST 2012
I get that sometimes. In my case, I have to make sure that the previous instance of the debugger is not running. Sometimes it continues to run even when the debug window goes away. To kill it, I unplug the USB cable.

I discovered this problem because I always run "Process Explorer" which is a free task manager from SysInternals, a devision of microsoft. It is a much better task manager than the one that comes with Windows. I will occassionally see two debuggers running. When this happens, the newly launched debugger cannot get control of the LPCXpresso from the old one and it seems to wait forever.

Instead of unplugging the USB cable, you can also kill them using Process Explorer.

Hope this helps,
Pete.
