53: License does not permit flash operations from the command line?

Hi,

I just got an LPCXpresso with the LPC1114 chip on it, and I'm using LPCXpresso for Linux Beta 2 on Ubuntu 10.04. I compiled the "Blinky" example in debug mode and tried to write it to the chip using the "Program Flash" button, and it gives me the following error in a message box:

"53: License does not permit flash operations from the command line"

I got the license for the free version of LPCXpresso, and the welcome page tells me:

"Welcome to LPCXpresso. The software is now fully activated, and can be used for production. LPCXpresso can be used to generate and download applications containing up to 128K of code into an LPC target."

I was able to run the program in Debug mode and that wrote the program to the chip, but I really would like to be able to just program the flash. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Hi,

First of all, are you running, the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Ubuntu 10.04?

Next, can you try re-activating. That is, get the serial number and (if it is different to the one you already have), get a new activation code.

If that doesn't solve the problem, can you run "crt_emu_cm3_nxp -info-license" from a shell, and then zip and post the whole directory "/usr/share/LPCXpresso".

Hi,

I'm running 32-bit version of Ubuntu. I just had to reactivate because lightning took out the onboard NIC on this computer last night and I put in a new card. The IDE came up and said it was not activated, so I re-activated and now I can directly program the flash. I guess it was a problem with the first activation! Maybe the licensing stuff likes 3Com cards better than onboard NICs???

i am using 64 bit windows 7. I was able to run the program in the Debug mode. But it is not possible to use the "Program Flash" option.
I am getting an error like this:

I tried reactivation also. But still i am getting the same problem.
