wmic.exe is being removed by Microsoft. I just updated my system this morning and it was removed.

Windows 10 features we're no longer developing - Windows Deployment | Microsoft Docs

wmic is a standard utility supplied with Windows. The most likely reason for problems is your path. For more details see :

Windows PATH issues

It is possible that you might be able to workaround by disabling the "Use wmic instead of cscript" preference in

Window -> Preferences -> LPCXpresso -> Redlink / LinkServer Options

but if it is a path issue, then this probably won't help.

If you are still having problems, it would also be worth trying to boot the probe manually and reporting what you see:

https://community.nxp.com/message/630541

Regards,

LPCXpresso Support

Thank you very much, the workaround using the cscript did it for me.

Is there any drawback in using the cscript instead of the wmic?

Best regards

Jonas
