I am very fresh to ARM programming. Can anybody please guide me how to start a project in LPCXpresso???

I understand that exhaustive codes are available in the libraries and drivers, which i can call in my main routine.

but when i go through the new project wizard, it asks for CMSISv1p30_LPC11xx or CMSISv2p00_LPC11xx to link with the project. when I select either of them, an error message throws telling that no such directory is found and that it will be in the examples bundle. i tried copying those ZIP FILES from the examples bundle into the workspace also, but dint help.

All I want is how to start a project that will bring the CMSIS and drivers linked into it.

Please help me with clear steps in creating a new project.

If you read the text on the New project wizard, it says
"The appropriate CMSIS library projects must exist in you workspace. CMSIS library projects can be imported from the Examples directory of your IDE installation".

To spell it out in more detail. You need to use the Import Project button to bring the CMSIS library for yu chip into the workspace.

Have you read the Getting Started Guide that installs as part of the product? You can also download this from:
http://ics.nxp.com/lpcxpresso/

The Getting started with LPCXpresso video from last year's ARM TechCon might be useful too. Although this refers to LPCXpresso3, the general principles all still apply.

but after importing an external library project I still have to add manually directory information for include, lib etc., is this right? Or is there some smarter import automatism for that?
