Question regarding release building & UART bug issue

Hi. I'm new to ARM and have been testing things around. I've been testing around with a LPC1343. I tried to build release builds but found out that on all projects I get the following two errors:

1. cannot find -lCMSISv1p30_LPC13xx LPCXpresso1343_blinky line 0 C/C++ Problem
2. make: *** [LPCXpresso1343_blinky.axf] Error 1 LPCXpresso1343_blinky line 0 C/C++ Problem

Debug build works fine, which makes me wonder why the release build is having some issues.

As for the UART bug, it seems like when I try to run the V1.10 program for LPC1343 I get a computer freeze-up if I ran the debug and left it idle for 2 minutes. Hardware wise I used a PoUSB12 for connection to PC and software wise I used Docklight. It would be great if someone can shine some light on this issue. Thanks.

Hi,

You need to build the CMSIS project for Release too.

Hi. I found that project and built it too. Now things work fine. Thanks a lot.

Btw, I tried the release build but it did not solve the freezing problem. Even with a release build and not in debug mode, my computer will still freeze if I leave it idle with Docklight on. If a solution can be found that would be great. Thanks again.
