After I got the LPCXpresso with LPC1343 and connect it to the PC, the on-board LED is blinking. I launched the LPCXpresso, built the Blinky project and then click debug. After some time, a "Timeout waiting for LPC_Link to initilize..." message appeared. I had to quit. The log stated that the target received 0 byte...
What was my error ?

1# look through the old threads. A search function is provided. Many of those old threads are addressing the same problem :rolleyes:
2# goto http://support.code-red-tech.com/CodeRedWiki/CodeRedFAQ and read the section on Debug target connections :eek:
3# try replacing your USB cable with an 'expensive' one :D
4# check the USB port on your computer :p

And i am pretty sure Zero will add some pointers

Actually, the postings in 1 show that the problem had been faced by many users and for quite sometime. The solutions did not appear to work well.

What OS are you running? If XP, then try out the suggestions in this FAQ...

1. The problem is solved(?) by disconnecting all other USB devices.

2. The last suggestion "go through the instructions..." seems too tedious.

Any simpler method other than 1 ?

Well to put a question mark, because usually the problem reappears at any time. Simply unplug and plug the USB cable, and you may run smoothly.
