Also wanted to use the uart and usbcdc examples. In the getting.started.pdf in section 7.3 it describes how to connect a USB cable. I did that.

Problem i'm having is it's either not being recognised or is coming up as no drivers. In windows 7 (64bit) under "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers". It says either "Unknown Device" or it actually says "LPC13xx Vcom" but says no drivers needed or installed.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a problem with the driver in 64bit windows?

Any responses are welcome! and sorry if its been asked! i searched it but couldn't find an answer!

Carefully check your connection, as it says in the guide, and program your microcontroller. Connect the connection and reconnect if necessary.

Data should appear in the console but it's not. It's not even getting to that part of the program. In the usbcdc at the line of code.. while(!usbconfigured) it hangs because it's not being configured. Which is apparent by it not being recognised. It's being picked up but not recognised or not installing drivers.

I just remembered that when installing on my PC there was problems with that and the same on the alptop. I clicked install but it came back up again...a few times. maybe thats something to do with it.
