I am using LAN8720 Transceiver for Ethernet communication. So please anyone suggest me which Ethernet connector is suitable for my application.???

Still now we are using 8051F120 controller and CP2200 Transceiver with TYCO_6605752-1 Ethernet connector. Shall I use same connector or any other connector which is suitable for LPC1769 Controller???

And on what basis we can choose Ethernet Connector????

Thanks and Regards

Hareesha.

Farnell.
The only things to consider, in my humble opinion and Zero will surely correct me on this if i am wrong, is the speed 10/100 or 1GB and if you want leds in the connector.

Of course if you designed your own custom board it is a good idea to incorporate the leds into the connector to see if there is a valid connection and if there is activity. It is a nice to have feature even if it is only to debug faulty connections.
On the other hand those leds are not necessary.
