Hi professionals!

I use the ARM environment from Keil/ARM to develop programs for my M0 target hardware. Sometimes I want to test an algorithm on the LPC1114 LPCXpresso board before I implement it into the target code.

I miss a driver for the LPC-link. I made a workaround by opening the eight copper traces on the LPCXpresso board and created a homebrewed adapter for my Keil ULINK2 programming tool.

Hi nerd62,
No, there is no way connecting the LPC-Link to the Keil IDE.
So I'd advice, if you rather use Keil to use that in combination with the ULink2.

How do I connect the ULINK2 programmer to the LPCXpresso board so I can use it with the Keil IDE? Do I need to modify the board?

AFAIK Ulink2 is using SWD to debug M3 (see keil.com), so you can connect your target board via SWD (SWCLK, SWDIO, RESET & GND).

I have connected the SWCLK, SWDIO, RESET & GND lines to the ULINK2 programmer's connector using the pinout from the user guide (http://www.keil.com/support/man/docs/ulink2/ulink2_hw_connectors.htm) and it still does not work.

I am using an LPCXpresso board with a LPC1114. I have cut all the bridge wires on connector J4 except for 3V3 and Gnd as I am powering the board from the LPC-Link section using the USB.

The ULINK2 user guide says that a pull-up resistor should be added to the SWDIO line and a pull-down resistor to the SWCLK. I don't see these on the schematic for the LPCXpresso board. Should I add them.

Is there anything else I need to do to make this work??

For LPC-Link there are no pull-ups /-downs necessary.
If ULINK2 needs them, add them and scope all signals to see if something is floating :)
AFAIK Keil is selling a few Development Kits, perhaps their schematics can show you where pull-ups are necessary.
