Cannot program flash on LPCXpresso 1769

Once the VM problems were cleared, I've been playing with various coding experiments. Maybe a dozen. At one point, the LED on the LPC1769 side seemed to stick on half intensity (as if it's toggling at a high rate), and from that point on, I get errors like the following when I debug:

15: Target error from Commit Flash write: Et: Flash driver not ready.

Weird. So I reset the USB (dfu, reset the port in the VM) and try the command line:

Et:31: No connection to emulator device

Nothing. It seems to be in a programmed state from which I can't flash my way out.

I have tried other USB ports, etc.

Ideas?

Yes, switch to ISP and try it again.

Thanks Zero; I followed your link to the Code Red page that also suggested the vector catch method, and after spending a few minutes trying to find the Debug Configurations button in the IDE (hint: it's the squashed bug just to the left of the hammer - that sure was intuitive!), set the vector catch value to true, reinitialized the USB, went into debug mode, disabled the vector catch and voila - it came back.

Now to figure out how I locked the flash in the first place ;-)
