Hello,

I'm trying to start a project with LPCXpresso and I want to use my git server for the project. But now I have a problem cloning the empty Git repository (to add it to my project). So every time the dialog is telling me that the repository is empty and when it's starting to clone an error occurs:
'Cloning from ssh://[name]@[server]/git/[rep-name].git' has encountered a problem.

ssh://[name]@[server]:22:org.eclipse.jgit.transport.Credentialltem$StringType:Password:

The strange part is that it is working with the normal eclipse version. Does anybody have a clue for me?

You need to make sure that the version of eGit is compatible with the underlying Eclipse version in LPCXpresso - for LPCXpresso v7.x, the underlying Eclipse is "Kepler" SR2. Otherwise, there is nothing 'strange' about LPCXpresso - we certainly have no problems accessing Git.

My guess is, it looks like you have misconfigured eGit wrt your repository.
