No matter what use as a keyword I get
"Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."
as the result.

Any ideas why ?

Workaround: GOOGLE

Try to google for:

inurl:knowledgebase.nxp keyword

Did you type in more than 3 characters? NXP have configured the search for 4 or more characters

Here is another way of doing the Google search. This is an example of searching with short search terms.
