Content originally posted in LPCWare by zarrro on Wed Dec 26 04:16:52 MST 2012
Hello :)

I just tried to import a library i have with custom Makefiles in LPCXpresso, and I noticed something interesting. LPCXpresso is bundled with ancient version of make. For portable code I use my own makefiles and since 3.81 is out as stable version for 6 years already I am happily using eval.
But it turns out that the make version in LPCXpresso is 3.79, was released ONLY 12 year ago in 2000. While this is OK for projects generated by LPCXpresso , it is simply ridiculous for any non Xpresso generated project.

So I just wanted to say:

Please , in the next release , bundle a version of make which is more recent than the dinosaurs :)

Bye, and thanks for the nice tools :)
