I suppose you're still running with Managed linker script.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi guys,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;re #1: FreeRtos is placing its heap in the CAN area.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I followed the 'Modifying Linker Scripts' tutorial at &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://"&gt;http://ics.nxp.com/support/training/lpcxpresso.intro.2/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;.. and managed to reserve the space. The tutorial reserves a tad too much but the ideas are sound.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
