Content originally posted in LPCWare by duprein on Thu Jun 27 13:13:38 MST 2013
Hi All,

I'm currently using LPC1114 and LPCxpresso LPC-link as a debugger.

The question is: is there a possibility to connect to the target via SWD during operation without resetting/flashing it?

I can't find this in LPCxpresso suite out-of-box, just a debug session with flashing first. I've played around a little bit and found that if I'm connecting via GDB, SWD enabled and SWD pins active (not other functions enabled), then I could reach target in a text mode. I will dig a little bit around, but maybe could somebody advise me a proven way to proceed?

Thanks in advance!

Actually I was wondering why my firmware hangs on after connecting in text mode via GDB like that http://support.code-red-tech.com/CodeRedWiki/UsingGDB

But according to your link it is

Quote: CodeRedSupport
a reset will get triggered, and interrupts will not be enabled)
:(

A little bit pity that in topic not mentioned IDE release, to find out if this already fixed or not.. I will look up changelogs then.

Thanks a lot for pointing!
