LPCXpresso supports the LPC-Link (the debugger on the LPCXpresso module) and Code Red's Red Probe and Red Probe+ debuggers - that's all.

LPCXpresso (hardware and software) is a closed proprietary system. I use Rowley CrossWorks which supports J-Link (plus 20 other debuggers including Red Probe and an ARM SIMULATOR as well). It is a complete C/C++ and assembly code development system for [B]ARM7[/B], [B]ARM9[/B], [B]XScale[/B], and [B]Cortex[/B] microcontrollers. I was hoping one of the other debugger manufacturers have made a driver/ dll for code red.
The price of code red is very tempting and NXP seems to be rooting for it.
But board manufacturer like Future Designs insist on supplying their development kit with the J Segger debugger.
Hence the query.

You seem to be saying that you like LCPXpresso but want to use another tool?

A cheap LCP1114 board comes with a J-Link included that you can chop off and use for any other more expensive board if you wish. It isn't JTAG it's 2 wire serial and very useful and practical.

It is amazingly decent in fact.

If you compare all the grief of getting to grips with Freescale products, or even IAR starter kits, to the joy of xpresso, you'll soon be smellin' the coffee :-)

AFAIK, the only low cost development board that has a J-Link included is the FreeScale KwikSitk.

It is amazingly decent in fact.

I agree that it's very decent. The only gripe I have is speed when single-stepping code. I use a J-Link on some boards and it will single-step code [I]much[/I] faster than the LPC-Link, which is rather slow.
