How to get uart working on LPC183x-Xplorer

Could anyone who has successfully transmitted data via UART explain how it is done on the Xplorer board?

I have tried using example code from http://docs.lpcware.com/lpcopen/v1.03/lpc18xx__43xx_2examples_2periph_2periph__uart_2uart_8c_source.html , however no text is displayed when it is being run.

I connected a ft232 breakboard board to U0_TXD, U0_RXD and Ground and tried to view the output on TeraTerm but didn't see anything.

May anyone help?

Hi,

Have you tried the latest version v.2.12 of LPCOpen examples ?

http://www.lpcware.com/content/nxpfile/lpcopen-software-development-platform-lpc18xx-packages-0

The uart example uses UART0 with baud rate of 115200.

Thank you embd02161991 for pointing me to the latest projects, UART works fine now at a baud rate of 115200.
