How to write 1 byte of data into external flash in LPC4370 board

Hi,

I want to write a constant value like a "Device ID" into the flash memory which would never be changed or modified even when the board is Reset/ ON. Please help me how to do it
I was thinking to use SPIFI for this, but i still didnt understand how we can store the Device ID data into a particular address of the Flash memory and can be accesses/read later.

Please note: that LPC4370 have external flash only no internal flash
