&lt;P&gt;When there is no valid image present in the flash memory, or in this case no image available, the MCU will enter into ISP mode automatically.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Regarding &lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&amp;nbsp;the swd also failed to connect&lt;/EM&gt;&amp;nbsp; entering into ISP mode should not represent an issue to debug via SWD. In some casuses it ISP mode could help to regain debug access.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Would you detail how are you attempting to program by SWD and any error message related? Also, if&amp;nbsp; you made any setup into MCU's protected flash region (PFR). The PFR could be used to lock SWD access.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
