SPIFI Flash during programming?

Hello,

We have an application that will load some pre-defined images from SPIFI Flash device to use during run time. Nowadays we run one project just to save the images on the SPIFI Flash, and another with the final code that will read it.

Is it possible to upload code to a SPIFI external Flash device during programming (via Linker script)? So we avoid this two step approach?

If so, is there any documentation about it?

The support provided by NXP for its products is outstanding....

One month passed and not a single person from NXP replied.

We simply can't deal with such long response time....

You don't mention which tools you are using. On the assumption you are using lpcxpresso, then look at the FAQs where the is information about linker scripts and placing data in specific sections.
