Replacement for LPC2378

Hi,

We are presently using LPC2378 in our custom board/product. While trying to procure the microcontroller recently, it was mentioned "product no longer manufactured". We need to know if any pin to pin compatible chip available for LPC2378. We have come across LPC1778 & 1788, which seems compatible. Please confirm whether LPC1778 or 1788 can be used as a direct replacement for LPC2378 without any hardware/board modification.

The LPC2378 is pin compatible to LPC1778.

However, please note the longevity of LPC1778 are less than 6 years left. We don’t have other pin to pin replacement longer than 6 years.

For other LPC parts, you can consider LPC546xx, LPC55xx. they are not pin to pin replacement, you need redesign your PCB.
