timers

I need to supervise 6 encoders.

The LPC1778 has only four timers for capture and counter pulses.

Can two channels of the same timer be used for capture and count at the same time the pulses of two differents encoders ?.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I am afraid this will not be possible as you need to select the input capture pin in Count Control Register (CTCR) and you cannot select both channels at the same time, you will need to be switching between channels and reconfiguring the timer.
