How to download SW on KL82 except with JTAG

Hello,

We're planning to develop POS device using KL82.

According to UM11036,

There is a way of download software using JTAG.

And According to AN4835,

There are two ways of programming interfaces which are SWD/JTAG and EzPort.

However,

When I check the pinouts of KL82 datasheet, I can't found the EzPort on it.

I wonder if there is really other way to flash programming except with JTAG Interface.

Hi andy_kim,

In fact, to KL82 chip, it contains the ROM bootloader, that means you can use the LPUART to download the code directly.

Thanks for your prompt feedback.

As far as I know, KL81 and KL82 are pin to pin in HW perspective and are using Common bootloader.

Can we refer to KL82 documents including datasheet and reference manual instead of KL81.

Hi andy_kim,

KL81 to add the Tamper Pins and DryICE features, if you don't use these secure module, you can refer to the KL82 reference manual.

KL81 reference needs to sign the NDA with the NXP side.

If you just want to use the ROM bootloader, you can use the KL82 reference manual.
