Not sure this is the right location for this question.

Are there, or will there ever be Linux Drivers for the MRKIII 2-Link (OM6718/5)? I know the 2-Link is a OEM'd Segger J-Link, and the Synopsys mrk3 toolchain for fully supports Linux with the exception of MRLink and 2-Link driver.

Thank you,

--Jim

Many toolchains/IDEs that run on Linux support J-Link out of the box. I used e.g. Crossworks for ARM under Mint (Debain-based), supporting J-Link amongst a plethora of debug pods.

The MCUXpresso IDE supports J-Link as well, I have two installations (again under Mint). Debugging is in fact simpler and easier than with Win10.

My OM13098 has a CMSIS-DAP interface, which is also supported by both IDEs.

Hi Frank. Thanks for responding, however it doesn't help here. I have tried passthru for the OM6718, and ubuntu identifies it as a jlink, but it clearly isn't a standard jlink. NXP has produced their own drivers for this particular OEM'd device, standard jlink drivers won't work. It's a shame too, as its the only bit missing to be able to completely work in Linux on the NCF29A1.

Hi Jim

We got the confirmation that the MRKIII 2-link software driver does not support Linux and it is not planned to do it in the next years.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Have a nice day,
