&lt;P&gt;LPC551x/S1x devices include support for LIN Mode as a part of their configuration.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This mode detects and generates the necessary breaks to comply with the LIN protocol, and it can be enabled by changing the following value in the USART's Configuration Register:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;This setting should automatically insert and detect the breaks required by the LIN protocol.&lt;/P&gt;
