I've been going through the errata of this familiy of microcontrollers and found it to have 15 functional problems with the USB and 2 more with the USB_ROM. https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/errata/ES_LPC546XX.pdf

Is it still sensible to use this MCU in a project using USB? Or will this just give me a lot of headaches?

One of the biggest hurdles in my opinion pertains to :

There is no workaround in the SDK USB stack as far as I am aware of; and I don't see how to implement this from the application side.
