LPC43xx I2S interface with 24bit DAC and ADC

I am upgrading an existing design to use a LPC43xx processor. The board has a 24bit DAC and a 24bit ADC with I2S interfaces. I was planning to use the I2S interface on the NXP chip, but after re-reading the manual I see that the interface is only capable of handling 8, 16 or 32 bit word sizes.

Any ideas on a solution for interfacing with 24 bit I2S devices?

Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products and

for the opportunity to serve you.

To achieve your purpose, I think the SGPIO is good choice which is capable of simulating the I2S interface, even customize some features likes support handle 24 bits sizes.

And you can find the example in the 20.8 Examples in the reference manual.
