I assume that you have downloaded the Win64 bit version of the standalone version of the LPC Initialization Tool|NXP ?

The error message you are seeing would normally indicate that the Java virtual machine being found on your machine is actually the 32 bit version rather than the 64 bit version.

If you wish to use the standalone version of this tool (rather than the online version), then you will need to either download the Win32 version of the tool to match your 32-bit Java VM, or else install the 64 bit version of the Java VM. If you do the later, then you may find that you need to modify the lpcinit.ini file within the tool directory to point to the right VM version.

For more background, use your favourite search engine to look for exact text of the java error 13 message that you see.

Regards,

LPCXpresso Support

Yes I installed the 64 bit version of the tool. When I installed Java, there appeared to be no option to select 32/64 bit.

Here is my lpciniti.ini file:

-startup
plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.3.0.v20140415-2008.jar
--launcher.library
plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.win32.win32.x86_64_1.1.200.v20150204-1316
-vmargs
-d32

what do I change??

Regards --- Roger
