Hi I’m using battery backup in the circuited same as below

But in user Manuel say

Is it means I can the below circuit

If your 'VBB' is User Manual VBAT, of course...

You don't trust a R2D2 unit ?

The MCB4300 Eval board (schematic available on the net) has Vbat connected directly, too.

I wonder why in some famous Kit's Schematic such as Embedded Artist and others,
Vbat is used in a manner as presented by my friend "salamlora1".

A lot of MCUs don't have this included diodes (especially older types) and propably a lot of new schematics are just a copy :O of older schematics (or used for several different MCU)...
