Anyone have a schematics or other documentation for this new board? Our company got a couple of them at Design West yesterday but they don't come with any documentation and the NGX Technologies site is useless (also says the board costs $2,500.00 which I think is a "small" error).

I need this to continue development since the Hitex LPC4350 board I have is version A2 and Code Red doesn't support it (too old).

The latest release of nxpUSBlib has a copy of this schematic, although the filename contains "A3" even though it is for the A4 board.

I'm looking through nxpUSBlib v0.93.zip but don't see a PDF file in there anywhere. Is it someplace else?

Also, how do you tell the version on the LPC4330-Xplorer board? I can't find a version on it anywhere unless it's under the serial number or CE stickers.

NGX has updated their site with the NGX Xplorer board user's manual. Registered users get the schematics and code examples. $2,500 per board? What a great value you got at Design West!

I am having a problem trying to excercise this board. When I connect USB to usb1 I can see message SDIO failed, repeated all the time. What can be the problem?

Since I switched to Code Red I've had some problems loading code and debugging on the board (communications errors). Code Red received one of these boards the day after I got mine and were going to check into the problems. I haven't heard back so I don't know where they're at with it.

Please plug in a SD card formatted with FAT filesystem and the message should go. I must admit that the message is a little misleading. It should be stating that the "SD card is missing", we are working on a new release of the sample programs for the Xplorer.

@Jerry,
For the LPC4330 the Code Red defaults to JTAG interface for debugging. Try switching to SWD.

We are working on the LPCXpresso examples and the first release is planned next week.

Please note that the dual-core debug support is currently, only support by KEIL uvision V4.5 and ulink/ME combination. LPCXpresso and LPC-link combination does not offer a out of box experience at the moment. However, we have provided the examples for the LPCXpresso on our product page. We will continue to add support for more IDEs and debuggers going ahead but we highly recommend KEIL uvision V4.5 and ulink/ME combination for now. Also the uvision V4.5 has integrated the external Flash Driver files (FLM) for the external Q-Flash, therefore debugging and programming onto Q-flash is easier as compared to V4.23 (where these files had to be added externally).

We are updating the examples to V4.5 and will be releasing the same on 18th of this month.

I just received my board. I am still waiting on the documentation, which I hope will clarify a few things and will contain enough information for me to get started.

Im an absolute beginner and am little confused if need additional hardware to program the board or if I should be able to do it over USB with a bootloader? It is not really clear on the website.

The little information included with the board still suggests to register to get the documentation, but that's probably outdated.

The manual only refers to testing with a PC but it works also fine with a mac: I've installed the VPC drivers from ftdi (see http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm) and used the goSerial terminal emulator (see http://www.furrysoft.de/?page=goserial).

[The VPC drivers are actually not needed. The drivers installed with openOCD work fine]

Next I'll check the olimex debugger and openOCD.

[The current (macport) version of openOCD 0.5.0 has no script for the lpc43xx target, but the source at the openOCD repository contains a basic script for the lpc4350.cfg which works with the Xplorer board and the olimex jtag debugger.]

You can boot up the board over USB using this tool: http://www.lpcware.com/content/project/dfu-downloadupload-lpcdfusec-tool

You will need to set the boot jumper block (J4) to boot up via USB. You will find the required settings in the UM.
