hey guys i am trying to do some projects using lpc1769 on android open accessory application(aoaa) kit. one question though, is it possible to use this kit for I/O peripherals of not including any android devices. like lpc2138 edu board or any other MCU. i just cant figure it out. i think its only for android devices, am i right?

Although primarily aimed at android accessory development, I don't see any reason why it would not be possible to use this for general development work. For more details on this board, visit the Embedded Artists website at:

Hi,
The AoAA kit is used by many as a general platform for experiments, prototyping and learning.
All projects (and general sample code) is written for the LPCXpresso IDE, but with some experience it is simple to port to other IDEs, like IAR EW.

is there any simulation software that i can simulate my software before going to hardware design. i couldnt find lpc1769 in proteus 8.1.

What do you expect? It is called the Android Open Accessory Application kit.

But maybe if you explain what you are trying to do, we can suggest an alternative.

It's a very useful board :bigsmile:
We are using them since years for testing CAN, TFT, Ethernet, SPI, EEPROM software (-no Android)...

Just connect your toolchain and write your 1769 software :)

ohhhhh i see. lpc1769 AOAA kit comes with its own header files including LPC17xx.h file. thats interesting. just by adding these files into my software library i can build anything. i guess.

hey thanks i am now getting some signals and i am trying to interfacing. can u send me spi code or code format. does the board have spi interfacing ports of just ssp. i was trying to use ssp as spi on pin ports (P0.6, 7,8 and 9) of aoaa board. little help here.

It's a LPC1769, so you can use LPCOpen :O
