The External CODEC will be the master providing the LPC four audio channels which are to be processed and then brought back to the external CODEC for playback. I guess I'm just asking for a ping-pong scheme.

Is such project exist already shared - I searched the NXP site and didn't find anything?

Cheers

Presumably you are using both I2S interfaces as if you TDM them there is no way of identifying the individual channels.
