Hi,

Is there a utility by NXP which can do firmware upgrade over UART. What I am looking for is something akin to DFU-Sec which should be able firmware but using UART.

Hi Capiman,

Flash Magic can program only On-Chip Flash whereas what I am looking for is a tool that can program the NOR flash connected via SPIFI interface. Not sure whether Flash Magic is capable of doing that.

LPCScrypt is almost similar to DFU-Sec but Firmware Upgrade over DFU is not something that I want.

In short, what I am looking for is a utility that can allows me to transfer the firmware image via UART and then write the NOR flash using SPIFI.

The flash magic might really help you. Look for the devices under "External Flash".
