Only in the most high speed motor control cases do you need to advanced the field angle due to the lag of calculations in the main interrupt.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The paper you link to is designed for trapezoidal motor control which is typically less efficient than FOC and needs to use tricks like this in order to improve the efficiency.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
