GPIO output with frdm-kl43z and processor expert

Hi,

I'm using the frdm-kl43z board and trying to control a simple output with processor expert.

I am able to do so with the on board LEDs, but when trying to output a voltage with the pins, I can't toggle an output.

I've configured several pins in processor expert but get nothing out.

these are the configurations of LEDs and J2_17:

I've also tried an output logic of 1 and various combinations of slew rate and drive strength.

This is my code to control a simple toggle of the output with the on board buttons.

It works fine with the LEDs but not with the Pins.

I realized that the pins are outputting 3 V, but they are not outputting enough current to power my air compressor.

Is there anyway to draw more current from the kl43z pins?
