New to Freescale World

Hi sir.,

I'm recently shifted into Kinetis. I had brought a FRDM k64 kit and downloaded KDS v3.0.0 but I don't know how to deal with these controllers. So, please make me understand over following things..

1. How to start with Kinetis

2. What are are the relevant documents I need to go through

3. How to develop a project

Thank you for your interest.

I can recommend you following steps:

download KSDK from the sites Software Development Kit for Kinetis MCUs|Freescale
all needed documents will be under C:\Freescale\KSDK_1.3.0\doc (mainly Getting Started with Kinetis SDK (KSDK) v.1.3.pdf)
after that you can try any example under C:\Freescale\KSDK_1.3.0\examples\frdmk64f (there are examples for drivers - pit, rtc, edma, dspi, dac, crc....... and demo for adc, hello world, flash demo, etc) - please see document Kinetis SDK v.1.3 Demo Applications User's Guide.pdf and Kinetis SDK v.1.3 API Reference Manual.pdf
