Firmware update procedure for FRDM-KL28Z

Hi,

Just bought my first freedom board: FRDM-KL28Z

I have several questions regarding the firmware update on this board.

In the product detail file it is written the following:

Daplink Mode: Interface
Interface Version: 0241
Bootloader Version: 0241

According with the mbed developer website I need to update the Daplink.

I downloaded the Daplink and also the binary file for the OpenSDA.

I read the firmware update procedure from here:

- OpenSDA Serial and Debug Adapter|NXP

...however it refers to the OpenSDA firmware update. It is not clear for me how I can update the Daplink...

- It is the same procedure like for the OpenSDA?

- Do I need to update both OpenSDA and Daplink?

- Do I need to unzip the Daplink file or simply put it as it is on zip format?

I would really appreciate if someone can further clarify this for me.

I also noticed that it is no SDK for this board. When downloading the SDK it points to the FRDM-KL27Z.

Any plans to release a SDK for this board too?

Answering your questions:

- It is the same procedure like for the OpenSDA?

you have to make the same steps like a OpenSDA interface update; plug the board with the reset button pressed, drag and drop the DAPLink rev0242 binary that you download in our page, disconnect it and connect it again.

- Do I need to update both OpenSDA and Daplink?

No, only the Daplink version, to the DAPLink rev0242

- Do I need to unzip the Daplink file or simply put it as it is on zip format?

You have to drag and drop the .bin file, it is named as k20dx_frdmkl28z_if_crc.bin

Any plans to release a SDK for this board too?

Actually, there is SDK for this board, SDK 2.2 in the SDK builder page:
