Hi David,

Simple answer: MCUXpresso IDE is the IDE for LPC and Kinetis going forward.

Kinetis Design Studio will not be updated going forward, and KDS v3.2.0 is the final release.

There is no need to migrate existing KDS projects, as you can continue to use it. For new or future projects it is recommended to use the MCUXpresso IDE.

I hope this helps,

Erich

Simple question, hopefully the NXP devs can answer....

With the release of MCUXpresso 10.0 and its recent 10.0.2 update, it appears that MCUXpresso is now the more up-to-date vendor-provided toolchain for NXP Kinetis devices and KSDK development. Is this in fact the case? Further, will Kinetis Design Studio be maintained and updated going forward, or is KDS v3.2.0 the final release version? Should all KDS users plan to transition current or future Kinetis projects to MCUXpresso 10.0?
