KW45 / MCXW71 Differences and Software Configurations

Dear Team,

Thank youf or your support.

We are currently using your NXP KW45 series MCU for a BLE Specific application which does not require CAN.

I came across another MCU from NXP - MCX-W71.
As of what I can see there is not much difference apart from support of CAN Protocol.

Can you let me know if there are any other major differences ?

Regarding SW -

We have nearly developed your KW45 SW and would like to Migrate to MCXW71 willl it be possible ?
If we directly flash our SW, will it work ?

Thanks for creating case to us and choosing our products.

KW45 and MCXW71 are software compatible.

The difference is mainly from production process which following different manufacture rules . KW45 is used for automotive, and MCXW71‘s aim area is for IOT industry.

So, back to your question,

We have nearly developed your KW45 SW and would like to Migrate to MCXW71 willl it be possible ? If we directly flash our SW, will it work ?

==>Yes, you can migrate from KW45 to MCXW71.

Before directly flash SW, please double confirm whether have any special macro defined for KW45 in your SW. If has, please remember to change them to adapt for MCXW71.
