&lt;P&gt;I hope you are doing great! For connection issues, please help me checking &lt;A href="https://community.nxp.com/t5/Wireless-Connectivity-Knowledge/The-best-way-to-build-a-PCB-using-a-KW38-the-first-time-right/ta-p/1259735" target="_self"&gt;this&lt;/A&gt; community post, as all hardware design recommendations are located there (There is also a document at the end of the post: &lt;EM&gt;Trimming adjust of 32MHz XTAL external oscillator&lt;/EM&gt;).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As for specifics, in the &lt;A href="https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/MKW39A512.pdf" target="_self"&gt;MK38's Data Sheet&lt;/A&gt;, chapter&amp;nbsp;6.5.3.2 (&lt;EM&gt;Reference Oscillator Specification&lt;/EM&gt;), are some recommendations for external crystal oscillators, as well design specifications for optimal RF performance, please help me checking this chapter.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P data-unlink="true"&gt;There's also a &lt;A href="https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN3208.pdf" target="_self"&gt;Crystal Oscillator Troubleshooting guide&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;for quick-solving crystal oscillator problems that may arise.&lt;/P&gt;
