K20 lockup reset

Dear all,

My target chip is MK20FX512VMD12.

I found some time the chip resets. The RCM-SRS1 code is 0X2. I read the reference manual, this reset is generated by ARM core lockup.

I have a few questions about it:

1. Normally what is the reason for the lockup reset?

2. Why did the system reset instead of stuck in lockup?

3. How to trace the fault? Is it possible the fault coming from hardware?

Hi @UgraNarasimha

1. Normally the processor enters a lockup state if a fault occurs when executig the NMI or HardFault Handlers or if the system generates a bus error.

2. The system could get out of the lockup state by: a reset, a debugger halts it or an NMI occurs and the current lockup is in the HardFault handler. Also check 6.2.2.7 Lockup reset (LOCKUP) and 13.1.3.8 Lock-Up Reset reference manual, here you will find that a flag is set.

3. Faults usually are generated by hardware.

Thanks for the response.

Need more information on how to debug the issue ( i mean where exactly have to look ) and find the reason saying that because of this core lock-up reset got occurred..?

Can you suggest that way..!
