&lt;P&gt;The most common faults on the kinetis devices are:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;-Caused by a peripheral when you try to use it without turning on the clock.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;-Trying to write on a read only location.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;-Accessing or reading blank flash locations.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The Faults are generated with the NVIC, since the faults are from the Cortex Architecture, you can find more information on different websites from our own, for example this &lt;A href="https://wiki.segger.com/Cortex-M_Fault" target="_self"&gt;link&lt;/A&gt;. Also, this &lt;A href="https://community.nxp.com/t5/MCUXpresso-SDK/What-Causes-Hard-Fault/td-p/698209" target="_self"&gt;community&lt;/A&gt; post could provide you more information.&lt;/P&gt;
