The second link is for the MKL26 not the 22. The 26 is not 5V tolerant.
First link for the 22 gives the answer.
They could have made the data sheet clearer.

<LI-SPOILER>MK22FX512AVLK12 - 5V tolerant input?</LI-SPOILER>
I'm using MK22FX512AVLK12 operated in 3.3V.

I want to connect the uart port to another board that id operated with 5V - hence the uart_rx will get 5V (and not the recommended 3.3v) - are those pins tolerant to 5V?

Of course, about the Vih of the other board, i will need to check that he "understand" the "3.3V" from the MK22 as "1".

I could not find in the DS clear info about it.

I saw some other post about it but one says its not tolerant and another one says it is.

https://community.nxp.com/t5/Kinetis-Microcontrollers/K22-controller-pin-TXD-and-RXD-uart-pins-operated-on-5V-external/m-p/643418

https://community.nxp.com/t5/Kinetis-Microcontrollers/Are-the-MK2-UART-RX-pins-5V-tolerant/m-p/1402141/highlight/true#M62279

Thanks

Uzi
