Can different flash part number work as drop in if it is physically same

Hello All,

We are using MK22FN1M0AVMC12 (with 1MB flash) controller in our product line. Currently, due to chip shortage this is not available in market.

We got some inventory for MK22FX512AVMC12 (with 512 KB flash).

We see electrically they are same. only difference is flash. Can software we made for MK22FN1M0AVMC12 will run on MK22FX512AVMC12?

Additional info

1) Our flash consumption is less than 512KB it is about 300KB.

2) Both part numbers have same datasheet/pinouts.

3) we are not using any fancy bootloader for this product line.

Hi

As long as you only use 512k of Flash, in the FX512 it can run code for an FN1M0 directly.
