The easiest way would be to use a Windows 7 machine to make the update.

The problem is Windows 10 which interferes with the bootloader on your board.

For the list of error codes, see https://mcuoneclipse.com/2016/08/01/bricking_and_recovering_opensda_boards_in_windows_8_and_10/

I did document steps how to circumvent the issue, see for example https://mcuoneclipse.com/2018/04/10/recovering-opensda-boards-with-windows-10/

However, it seems that that might not work on every Win10 machine. So again: simplest and easiest way would be to have a Win7 machine (this is why I keep an old notebook in the shelf) or have a bootable memory stick with Win7.

The other point to consider: you have to extract the OpenSDA files from the zip to your disk first (do not drag&drop from within the explorer internal-extracted view: really unzip on your disk first).

>>Is it possible to re-flash via J-LINK in this case can I have the correct bootloader Firmware, please

No, that bootloader on the K20 is unfortunately secured and locked, you cannot change it (later OpenSDA versions, e.g. v2.0 are open and you can change it, see https://mcuoneclipse.com/2016/06/26/how-to-recover-the-opensda-v2-x-bootloader/).

I hope this helps,

Erich

Thank you very much for your quick answer.

K20 is unfortunately secured and locked, that means I cannot flash (jtag) the open SDA V2 or anything else ?

To summarise, I needed to have a quick ''hands on'' on the KE02, but wasted half a day and 15 euros on a useless piece of kit, mind still on sale...

You live and learn as they say...

Thank you again for your help
