Hello,

I am looking for KL25Z128VFM4 ICs. Since there is no available stock of brand new units, i am looking for old units. And buying old units from other than official NXP sellers is sensible, especially when you need 3000pcs.

Here are the pictures of two units (a recent one that i bought one year ago from an official NXP supplier, and another one proposed by an IC broker).

I know that:
- M25M7V is the model MKL25Z128VFM4 or MKL25Z128VFT4
- 2N97F is the mask (https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/errata/KINETIS_L_2N97F.pdf)
And i notice that the last code is different ("BNKBA" and "4LZCAK").

Could you please tell me the meaning of this code ?

Is it possible to know the manufacturing date of the chip from this code ?

It's Trace Code, but:

Unfortunately, anything related with device marking is confidential and not authorized to be released via this support pipeline.

If you bought the product from our authorized distributors and you have the proper reason, please contact them and they would help.

NXP need to verify your purchase firstly. Please contact the distributor and provide them the order number and the reason for the marking,
then ask them to submit us a ticket with their distributor email account. They would help.

Well noted.

Until now, i always bought from authorized distributors. But regarding my latest order (in May 2021), the first announced lead time was 12 months, and it is now 7 months more (delivery in December 2022). And i heard this may be postponed again for some more months.
So if i want that my small company survives (no sales for us without this IC), the only choice is to take a risk and to buy from an IC broker. We are just trying to limit the risk, because the price is very very expensive is front of the normal price.
